For the first time, eight ecclesiastical districts, namely Southern Europe, Western Europe, Northern Europe, Central Europe, Spain, Milan, Mediterranean, and United Kingdom, united in conducting an online inter-district Tagisan ng Talino (battle of wits)-Children’s Worship Service (CWS) and Family Edition on April 10, 2021.
Prior to this event, the eight districts held their respective Tagisan ng Talino quiz which served as the elimination rounds, to choose who would be their representatives for this inter-district friendly competition. Though held online, their fellow brethren from respective districts were not deterred in cheering for them.
The participants thoroughly prepared for this event by diligently reviewing different study materials, the CWS lessons, Pasugo: God’s Message magazine articles, and videos from INC Kids YouTube Channel for the CWS members, including the CFO News episodes streamed online for the Family Edition participants.
The CWS representatives participated for the age-bracket categories, 4–6, 7–9, and 10–12. Each age group completed three rounds—easy, advanced, and difficult rounds. A family round followed. The brethren’s knowledge about Bible history, and the Church’s history, especially the significant events, were tested during the event.
Brothers Seth Alexander Abad, and James Andre Galace, and Sister Chrisxen Emiko Reynoso, from the Ecclesiastical Districts of Southern Europe, Spain, and Central Europe, won the CWS Edition in age-bracket categories 4–6, 7–9, and 10–12, respectively. The Estoy Family, from the Ecclesiastical District of Northern Europe, won in the Family Edition.
Brother Seth shared, “With the help of my mom and dad, I reviewed and studied all the materials. But, most of all, we prayed to God and asked for His guidance.” Brother James said, “At first I was a little bit nervous but when the program started, I enjoyed a lot. It was very interesting and I’m grateful to be part of it.”
Sister Chrisxen said, “What inspired me to join was the desire of the Church Administration to see the CWS members united and active in the Church activities despite the current situation of the world.”
Once more, the Christian Family Organizations (CFO), under the guidance of the Church Administration, have proven that not even a pandemic can hinder the Church from strengthening the bond of brotherhood, and of every Iglesia Ni Cristo family towards an uplifted faith. — With reports from INC News Section
