“Through God’s help, this has come to fruition,” said Brother Joevel Umpad, head deacon of the newly established Local Congregation of Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, as he recalled the congregation’s beginnings as a Group Worship Service in September 2014.
Under the supervision of the Ecclesiastical District of Ottawa in Canada, the Moncton Congregation has grown into a local congregation upon the approval of the Church Administration. Its inaugural worship service was held on November 14, 2021. Officiated by the district supervising minister, Brother Jose Razon II, the gathering included the oath-taking of additional Church officers to all the more attend to the needs of their ever-growing congregation.
Although the congregation has a place of worship situated at 101 Shirley Avenue, Moncton City, New Brunswick, for the inaugural worship service, the brethren congregated at Hilton Garden Inn Moncton Downtown at 40 Highfield St., Moncton, to accommodate the brethren from neighboring congregations who attended the momentous gathering.
Brother Joel Paningbatan, resident minister, lauded, “Praise be unto God because through the dynamic leadership of the Church Administration led by the Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, the Church continues to reap successes, and we are included here in this part of the world.” — With reports from INC News Section
