Having completed the requirements for baptism in accordance with the Bible, prospective members in the Ecclesiastical District of La Union in the Philippines gathered at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Aringay on August 13, 2021 to receive baptism.
In the baptismal service officiated by the assistant district supervising minister, Brother Jonie Sibalo emphasized the importance of receiving the true baptism and being devoted to the service and worship of the Lord God to be deemed worthy of the promised salvation on Judgment Day.
Now that she is a full-fledged Church Of Christ member enlisted in the Balaoan Congregation, Janelle Arciaga, said, “I wholeheartedly thank God for calling me inside the true Church and for allowing me to reach this memorable day of my life, the day of my baptism.”
Brethren from the Aringay Congregation itself witness with gladness the baptism of the fruits of their efforts in sharing the true faith, which one of its head deacons, Edwin Mangaoang, said they would never cease doing. “We will strive to fulfill the commandment of God to spread His words and to become effective helpers of the Church Administration especially now that work of propagation is being intensified,” he promised.
After all, it is God whom they firmly believe gives them the victory, as expressed by Brother Dennis Cabusora, a minister of the gospel: “We thank God for the continuous victories that He bestowed into the district. We also thank the Church Administration for allowing us to conduct a baptism.”
During the said gathering, all attendees strictly followed safety protocols even the entire province of La Union is under Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ), the least quarantine measure implemented in the country. — With reports from INC News Section and Jespher Maghirang
