On January 28, 2022, four ecclesiastical districts in Northern Mindanao, Philippines held fruitful baptisms of new converts who were the fruits of the Church Of Christ members’ unified efforts in making God’s words fully known to  their provincemates.

The Ecclesiastical District of Cagayan de Oro City, Misamis Oriental conducted baptism at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Cagayan de Oro City. During the baptismal service, Brother Benjamin Pelias, district supervising minister, proved from the Bible that one must receive baptism inside the Church Of Christ to be saved from the eternal punishment in the lake of fire.

The Ecclesiastical District of Bukidnon, which oversees almost 70 local congregations and several extensions, held a baptism at the house of worship of Valencia City Local Congregation. Brother Alnorfo Jurada, district supervising minister, officiated the holy gathering.

Meanwhile, the candidates for baptism from the Ecclesiastical District of Bislig City, Surigao del Sur, one of the two districts in the province, traveled from their respective congregations to finally receive their baptism at the Mangagoy Congregation’s house of worship. The district supervising minister, Brother Eugenio Capanpan Jr., taught the would-be members about what God expects from them as they were about to receive their baptism for them to be certain of the promised salvation.

Another district who held a baptism that day was the Agusan del Sur Ecclesiastical District. Brother Antonio Maque, district supervising minister, officiated the sacred occasion at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Bayugan City.

Estrella Salim, a Church officer from the San Francisco Congregation, who was instrumental into the conversion of one of the newly baptized brethren, Julie Mark Fortich, said, “I am greatly happy and my heart is filled every time I see the people whom I encourage to join the Church receive their baptism.” — With reports from INC News Section
