To further edify the choir members from all congregations in the Ecclesiastical District of Alaska, the district leadership led them in a special gathering on January 23, 2022.

The house of worship of the Local Congregation of Anchorage served as the host site. Members of the choir in local congregations outside Anchorage connected through livestreaming from the safety of their homes. Choir members in the Children’s Worship Service (CWS) choir members also attended.

From the host site, Brother Pedro De La Cruz Jr., district supervising minister, exhorted the attendees, through a biblical lesson, that as faithful officers in the Church they should not allow themselves to be hindered from performing their duties by the unusual situations and happenings in the world. He said that instead of being upset, they should trust in the Lord God as they focus on fulfilling their duties, setting good examples to others in following His will.

“Truly, this special gathering was an important reminder for all the choir of all ages. Despite the problems that we have witnessed and the devastation that occurred, we can always rely on our Father in Heaven. We can use prayer for comfort, and in turn, we will be strengthened in our faith,” Ela Beronilla, a choir member from the Local Congregation of Anchorage, expressed.
