The brethren from the Ecclesiastical District of Albay were very thankful to God for the increase of membership in their district in the start of the year, and thus, to the Church Of Christ.
They received baptism on January 15, 2021 at the house of worship of Legazpi City Local Congregation. Brother Barry Javier, assistant district supervising minister, preached God’s words to the candidates for baptism. Through the Bible, he emphasized the importance of receiving true baptism inside the Church Of Christ.
One of the newly baptized member and a former Catholic, Mark Paul Sienes, said, “In my former religion, they taught about the Trinity. But when I enlisted as a doctrinal instructee, I learned that there is only one God—the Father in Heaven. All of the teachings are based on the Bible. I promise to God that I will serve Him until the rest of my life. I am really proud that I am a member of the Church Of Christ.”
Meanwhile, Maria Sario Tumbado, another newly baptized member, promised, “This is the true Church. So, I will remain an active member until I beathe my last.”
