“It is truly joyful that the activities we have in connection with the intensified work of propagation reap successes and bear abundant fruits, with God’s guidance,” said Brother Macleo Ibasco, supervising minister of the Albay Ecclesiastical District, in the Bicol Region of the Philippines.
With the help of the Lord God, this success was evident in the baptism by the said district on September 28, 2021 held in the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Legazpi City which was officiated by Brother Ibasco. During the homily, the biblical teaching about giving importance to one’s membership in the true Church was emphasized to the candidates for baptism. Brother Ibasco also reminded them that because of their divine election, they have the right to call upon God in prayer and the hope to receive salvation come the Day of Judgment. Health and safety protocols were carefully observed during the sacred gathering.
Thankful, Rolando Reptin, a newly baptized member, expressed, “I am very glad and it was a wonderful feeling to be baptized in the Church Of Christ. Thanks be to God, without Him I would not be able to reach this day.”
A newly baptized couple, Sonny and Maricel Cervantes, promised, “Whatever trials we experience, we will always attend worship services. Even if we experience persecutions, we will not leave the Church.”
On behalf of the brethren in Albay, Brother Ibasco, said, “We thank God because the Church Of Christ in our district continues to grow.” — With reports from INC News Section
