Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from the Local Congregation of Anquiray, Ecclesiastical District of Cagayan South, together expressed their thankfulness to the Lord God and appreciation for His goodness with regard to their new house of worship during its dedication worship service on December 9, 2022.

“We thank God because our district, most especially the Anquiray Congregation, has received a great blessing from Him,” Brother Elmer Abalos said on behalf of the members of congregation which was established in December 28, 1955.

“Through the approval of Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, the Executive Minister, brethren from Anquiray were blessed to have their new house of worship as just weeks before their congregation’s 67th anniversary,” added the district supervising minister who officiated at the sacred occasion.

During the worship service, Brother Abalos exhorted the brethren to never cease worshiping God even in times of difficult situations. Citing biblical verses, he reassured them that prayers said especially inside the house of God can help them surmount trials in life as He promised to answer His chosen ones’ pleas.

Pondering on the lesson taught to them, Danilo dela Cruz, a deacon, said, “Although I experience problems as well, but when I’m in the house of worship I can feel God’s presence and power so it strengthens my faith to continue on.”

A pioneering member’s son, Delfin Ramos, a head deacon, recalled that his parents taught them since childhood to put God and worship of Him first place in their lives. “To always prioritize our worship services and help out in the endeavors of the Church. These are what I also strive to pass on to my family and to the brethren,” he said.

Brother Reymark Calmona, resident ministerial worker, attested to the Anquiray brethren’s steadfast faith and ardent services to God. “Despite the economic difficulties, they continue to exemplify fervent unity in all the works of the Church. It is very evident in their services how they love their Church membership.”

Situated in Brgy. Anquiray, Amulung, Cagayan, Philippines, the 160-seater house of worship was equipped with a new sound system, air-conditioning, videoconferencing technology, LED TV, and a Johannus Organ. — With reports from INC News Section and James Lamson
