Buklod members from the Arlov, Sweden Group Worship Service (GWS) in the Ecclesiastical District of Northern Europe concluded their Friendly Photo Competition on February 7, 2021.

Through videoconferencing, the married members’ photographs taken a week before the culminating activity were presented.

The theme was about God’s creation. The participants took photographs and wrote a statement about why they believe that their subject best represents the creation of God.

“With this event, not only did I have fun taking pictures in nature, I also learned to appreciate it more because through nature God’s presence, power, and wisdom is made known,” Janet Valle, GWS Buklod vice president, said.

The top three photos were announced and recognized. The entries of Lornie Lind and Janet Valle, both from Arlov GWS, were awarded the first and second place respectively, while that of a deacon from Helsingborg, Sweden Extension, Michal Winther, won third place.

“I was inspired to participate in this photo event as I believe that wherever we look there is beauty around us, which is all our Lord God’s creation. It is important to show these to everyone, who might not be aware of it, …  There is so much for everyone to see, also there is still hope, we should not give up, we should trust in our Lord God, He’s doing what is best for us, and we should never forget that it is through His creation that we see all the beauty, and therefore remember to give thanks to Him,” Michal said. “Because if it had not been for God we would have been nothing. Had it not been for Him, we wouldn’t have this beautiful nature around us,” he added. — With reports from INC News Section
