Officers of the Children’s Worship Service in the Ecclesiastical District of Washington State held a general assembly on January 29, 2023 during which they further received guidance on performing their regular duties but also on their roles in the activities scheduled for the whole year.

“This general assembly not only relayed the activities launched by the Church Administration to help edify the young members of the Church but also reminded the CWS officers of their roles in caring for the CWS members,” explained Brother Christopher Valdez, Christian Family Organizations (CFO) district overseer.

CWS teachers and officers from the 22 congregations attended the general assembly held at the Renton IKEA Performing Arts Center along S 2nd St. in the City of Renton, Washington, U.S.A.

Brother Valdez delivered a biblical lecture to the CWS officers highlighting the necessary qualities each of them should have in order to be of help to the Church Administration in caring for the children under their care.

He said, “The CWS officers should be good examples because the young members look up to them. Through their love for their duty, CWS members will also be encouraged to become officers and grow up to be strong members of the Church Of Christ.”

Brother Valdez later on presented the calendar of activities for the year, both district-wide and local congregation level.

“I was reminded to set a good example to the CWS members under my care,” said Casey Emory, CWS Committee chairperson of Marysville Local Congregation. “Because of the Church activities being launched by the Administration, I continue to see the bond and unity grow among the young brethren in my local. This has inspired me to lead them and motivated me to all the more perform my duty.” — With reports from INC News Section
