Members of the local congregations of Athens and Thessaloniki, in Greece, met on October 29, 2022 to jointly conduct their own edition of the INC Unity Games.

“We’re happy because today we are joined together, the brethren in Athens, Greece as well as in Thessaloniki. This is significant because it helps promote the love of brotherhood, sportsmanship, and also, healthy lifestyle,” Brother Ramil Regino, supervising minister of Mediterranean Ecclesiastical District, said.

Brethren from Thessaloniki traveled about 500 kilometers for the sporting event held at the G. Melissinos Municipal Indoor Sports Hall in Vlitikos Stathmos, Kaisariani, Athens, Greece.

The inter-local sports activity featured basketball, volleyball, and chess matches.

“It is important to unite in activities launched by the Church Administration, such as this Unity Games, because these further strengthen the camaraderie among the brethren,” said Mirasol Sumbilo, from the Athens Congregation.

The local congregations of Athens and Thessaloniki are two of the 18 local congregations supervised by the Mediterranean District. — With reports from INC News Section
