“To have more members accept duties inside the Church is a blessing as the added workforce will be of great help to strengthen the faith of our fellow brethren and, thus, be of help to the Church Administration,” said Lovou Glariada, deaconess from the Local Congregation of Bankstown, New South Wales (NSW). “Being a Church officer is a great blessing for the duties to be fulfilled are given by our Almighty God.”

Having the same conviction, 226 brethren from Bankstown and all other congregations in the Ecclesiastical District of Australia East took oath as new Church officers.

This was during a districtwide special gathering held on October 31, 2022. The house of worship of the Local Congregation of Minchinbury, NSW served as the host site from where Brother Felix Santos, district supervising minister, led the gathering. Connected via videoconferencing were other houses of worship in the district where other Church officers gathered.

During the special gathering, Brother Santos, through a Bible-based lesson, reminded the attendees about how God values the labors of the Church officers, especially those that they perform during worship services.

After the homily, the new Church officers were then sworn into office. — With reports from INC News Section
