Australia East sponsors CWS Tagisan ng Talino regional

The regional round of the Tagisan ng Talino (battle of the wits) for the Ecclesiastical Districts of Australia East, Australia West, Malaysia, Micronesia, New Zealand, Sabah, and Thailand was held on December 12, 2021.
The Ecclesiastical District of Australia East hosted the event, a quiz bee that tests the Children’s Worship Service (CWS) members’ knowledge on biblical teachings and Church Of Christ history. The Local Congregation of Carlingford served as the main site for the online activity.
Select CWS teachers facilitated the activity. They gathered at the house of worship of Carlingford, while the contestants participated in the activity via videoconferencing from their respective homes.
“For the children to prepare for this activity, they were given a month to study the lessons—Bible stories, Bible history, and CWS lessons given to them,” said Rona Afenir, CWS teacher. “The kids were really excited to see one another virtually. The parents showed their support to their kids and to the activity as well.”
Brother Richard Esperanza, district Christian Family Organizations (CFO) overseer, said that the activity aims to help the kids to “grow more in the faith and put into practice the traits and qualities taught to them by the Church Administration during their worship services.” ― With reports from INC News Section
