Studies have found that learning a new skill can help relieve stress. For this, among others, the Christian Family Organization (CFO) Buklod leadership in the Local Congregation of Copenhagen, Denmark in the Ecclesiastical District of Northern Europe on October 24, 2021 sponsored a cookie baking tutorial for its members.

Aside from that “This activity strengthens the bond of the brethren in our local congregation. This is also good platform to showcase and share their knowledge in baking,” explained Arnold Dulin, the congregations’ Buklod president.

Married couple Rasmus and Louie Joy Bach served as the presenters. Through videoconferencing, they shared recipes and demonstrated the step-by-step procedure of baking their favorite chocolate cookies. They also shared tips on prolonging cookies’ shelflife.

“I am so thankful to have a chance to be a presenter in this activity,” said Louie Joy, a choir member in the congregation. “I am happy to share my knowledge in baking with my fellow Buklod members in the local.”

Other Buklod members who joined in the activity from the comfort of their homes, found the activity a refreshing way to spend quality time with their respective spouses.

“We are grateful to the Church Administration for approving this kind of activity in which we learn new knowledge and widened our skills. In this time of uncertainties, we all the more need to be active and zeal in our participation to all the activities inside the Church and to remain strong in our faith,” enthused Anna Dulin. ― With reports from INC News Section
