To be ready in times of emergency, Church Of Christ members from the Local Congregation of Bangkok, Ecclesiastical District of Thailand attended a basic first aid seminar on February 27, 2021.
The resident minister, Brother Azel Alcantara, and the Christian Family Organizations (CFO) officers spearheaded the event.
Brother Arren Blue Calleja, choir organist from the Local Congregation of Bangna, Thailand, served as the guest speaker. A nurse and certified polysomnographic technologist at the Phramongkutklao Hospital in Bangkok, he discussed essential information such as the basic components of a first aid kit, and the roles and responsibilities of first-aiders. He also detailed the basic care and first aid in various medical emergencies such as eye injuries, first and second degree burns, choking and poisoning, as well as the cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
The brethren said that they learned a lot from the seminar regarding the proactive ways to prevent dire outcomes in health emergencies. Having received biblical advice from their resident minister, they said that they were further strengthened, being reminded to never neglect seeking God’s guidance and protection in their daily sojourn and as they render true service inside the Church. — With reports from INC News Section
