On February 25, 2023, the baptism in the Ecclesiastical District of Capas, Tarlac in the Philippines, which was held at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of San Francisco-Concepcion, yielded hundreds of new members.
Brother Pedro Castillo, district supervising minister, officiated at the study of God’s words prior to the baptismal proper. He first commended the would-be members for making it to the day of their baptism. He then outlined to them the great blessings that await them after receiving baptism in the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ). “This divine election inside the true Church will surely bring about salvation on Judgment Day and the everlasting life as long as the members remain steadfast in the faith no matter what,” he said.
Among those baptized were a cousin of Jericho De Jesus, choir member and secretariat officer from the Local Congregation of Pag-asa. “I thank God for calling my relatives into the true Church. Now we can serve and worship Him together,” he enthused.
Newly baptized member, Harlene Yadao, said, “I’m glad I made it to my baptism, which I’ve been yearning for. I am proud to be a member of the Iglesia Ni Cristo. I will remain therein until the end to ensure salvation on Judgment Day.” — With reports from INC News Section
