“With all that’s happening around the world, one needs to find true peace and salvation not only from various catastrophes but most importantly on the Day of Judgment that is really fast approaching.” This biblical truth was part of the lesson taught by the Carcar City, Cebu’s district supervising minister, Brother Sergio Vista, in the series of baptisms he officiated on July 2021.

The district is blessed with more new converts added in its membership as baptisms were conducted on July 6, 9, 13, and 16.

Even as the entire province of Cebu is placed under Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ), the least strict of quarantine measures implemented in the Philippines, health and safety protocols were duly followed by the baptismal candidates as they gathered at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Carcar City.

Dindo Carayo, one of the newly baptized brethren, now enlisted in Perrelos Extension, said, “I am grateful to be given the chance to be called by God and baptized here in the Church Of Christ. I found true hope amidst the world’s condition. I promise to be active in my services to be certain of receiving salvation.” — With reports from INC News Section
