Having learned God’s truths revealed in the Bible, many people in Davao, among them a former preacher, pursued membership in the Church Of Christ and finally reached the day of their baptism. The said baptisms were held by two ecclesiastical districts in Davao, Philippines.

On September 25, 2021, in the Ecclesiastical District of Davao de Oro, Renalyn Omoc, a former preacher in Power of Faith Christian Fellowship, was among those who received spiritual blessings from God through the baptism held at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Nabunturan. It was officiated by the district supervising minister, Brother Nicanor Bernardo Jr.

“I thank God for not abandoning me. There were people who persecuted and tried to prevent me from reaching the day of my baptism but they did not succeed,” shared Renalyn. “I am uncertain of what I would go through but God will always help me because it is my faith that this is the true Church and this where I will be saved.”

Mayen Pungasi was instrumental to Renalyn’s conversion. “I am glad and grateful to God because she was able to overcome the difficulties and received her baptism in the Church Of Christ,” she said.

Meanwhile, on September 28, the Ecclesiastical District of Davao Oriental  held a baptism at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Mati.

During the homily led by the assistant district supervising minister, Brother Urbano Aquino, he emphasized to baptismal candidates the importance of remaining steadfast inside the Church Of Christ as it is in this Church that God will save on Christ’s Second Advent.

Davao de Oro and Davao Oriental districts are two of the five ecclesiastical districts of the Church established in Davao provinces which were under General Community Quarantine (GCQ) during the said holy occasions. — With reports from INC News Section
