Brethren from the Local Congregation of Basag, Ecclesiastical District of Albay in the Philippines are now reaping a good harvest from what they sowed through the project Gulayan sa Bakuran 2.0 (vegetable gardening).
Through the leadership of Brother Macleo Ibasco, district supervising minister, the project was launched in the district last year (2019). The brethren were encouraged to plant and maintain a vegetable garden for their needs. The participants were then provided with free vegetable seeds.
The brethren in Basag Congregation are now benefiting from the tomatoes, eggplant, cabbage, lettuce, and okra seedlings they planted last year, which is timely as Albay province is under community quarantine due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The brethren are thankful for the project launched by the Church Administration. — With reports from INC News Section
