Church membership in the Ecclesiastical District of Bataan, in Central Luzon, Philippines, which oversees more than 60 local congregations, continues to increase as three consecutive baptisms were held before January 2022 ended.

On January 22, Brother Manolo Viloria, assistant district supervising minister, led the baptism at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Mariveles. The following day, January 23, Brother Jobert Esguerra, district supervising minister, officiated the holy gathering at the house of worship of the Limay Congregation; while Brother Viloria led another baptism at the Dinalupihan Congregation’s house of worship.

Among those who received baptism were husband and wife, Jason and Crisanta Cabugwason, who learned about the Church Of Christ through their friend. “We were invited to listen to the teachings of God in an evangelical mission. Since then, we learned so many things until we decided to become a member of the Church,” said Crisanta.

As they were in the process of joining the Church, the couple saw significant change in their lives. “It was a good feeling. We learned how to pray to God and entrust everything to Him especially if we have problems,” Jason enthused. “We thank God that we reached [the day of] our baptism. We will strive to encourage our family members to be also part of the Church.” They are currently enlisted in the Local Congregation of Mariveles.

The attendees in all venues strictly followed safety protocols imposed by the government. — With reports from Annabele Penuliar and INC News Section
