As part of the intensified efforts in the propagation of God’s words, the Ecclesiastical District of Batac City, Ilocos Norte held a bilingual evangelical mission at the Marcos Agro-Industrial School covered court on September 23, 2022.

Of the two designated preachers, Brother Nelio Bartolome, the district Edification overseer, stood first and preached in Ilocano, the lingua franca in the province, a prepared lesson based on the pure gospel. Afterwards, Brother Cesar Cruz, the assistant district supervising minister, preached another lesson this time in Filipino, which is also spoken widely in the province being the Philippine’s national language.

“The activity we conducted today is part of the series of evangelical missions in our district. Right now, here in the Municipality of Marcos, Ilocos Norte, the brethren from the nearby local congregations helped prepare the venue under the leadership of the Church officers,” said Brother Cruz in an interview. “Pamphlets and Pasugo magazines distribution were instituted by the brethren and invited many people to this important activity.”

Brethren from the neighboring local congregations including Camiring, Escoda, Fortuna, Lydia, Naglayaan, and Ferdinand Extension, brought guests to the  evangelical mission.

Joy Humilde, a guest, observed. “The minister was quoting verses directly from the Bible and precisely delivering God’s words. I listened attentively.” — With reports from INC News Section
