In connection with the 49th founding anniversary this year of the KADIWA (acronym for Kabataang may Diwang Wagas or youth with noble intent) and Binhi (translated as seedling), the youth organizations in the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ), the Church Administration approved the holding of a Youth Summit. The Ecclesiastical District of Batangas in the Philippines hosted the said event on November 11, 2022.

Hundreds of KADIWA and Binhi members from various local congregations flocked to the Taal Convention Center for the said activity.

“In the summit, Church officers hosted fun activities that promote camaraderie among the brethren. The highlight was the video presentation that pointed out the proper use of social media. This is so timely because there are lots of dangers on the internet that might harm the youth,” Brother Rodel Cortez, the district’s Christian Family Organization (CFO) overseer, said.

CFO officers in the district prepared weeks before the event. “First, we held devotional prayers asking the Lord God for His help. Even though we were busy with our studies and work, we always found time to convene and plan for the event. I’m so happy because the Father heard our pleas. I saw the brethren’s joy as they participated in the events. Our efforts paid off,” shared Diana Rose Dimapasoc, the district’s KADIWA president, enthused.

“It is always worthwhile to attend the CFO activities. Not only did we enjoy the activity booths, we were also reminded of being mindful about our activities even online; we must maintain a Christian attitude. I promise the Lord God that I will strive to live by His commands refreshed to us in events like this,” said Aizel Ermitanio, from the Local Congregation of Cuenca.

Guests, like Lea Dimdam, were also present in the activity. She said, “Attending this activity really gave me an idea about how good it is to be a Church Of Christ member. I really felt that I am welcome here. I have decided to know more about this Church.”

“On behalf of our district, we thank our Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo and our CFO coordinator, Brother Angelo Eraño V. Manalo for approving this activity aimed to benefit the Christian youth,” expressed, Brother Cortez. —With reports from INC News Section
