The Society of Communicators and Networkers, International (SCAN) district officers from the Ecclesiastical District of Batangas held a radio operating procedure seminar and workshop on November 29, 2020. The participants learned the proper use of two-way radio and other electronic devices.
The SCAN members gathered at the worship building of Bucal Local Congregation for the said activity. They got a refresher on using communications equipment and related electronic devices. In the whole duration of the seminar, safety and health protocols were strictly observed.
Wilson Bruce, a member, stated, “I have learned the proper use and how to take care of two-way radio sets and other emergency equipment. Since these are the basic tools we often use in communications, it is only right that we know how to properly use them.”
“We need to be equipped with knowledge in such devices for us to be always ready, especially in times of emergencies, so that we can help and quickly respond to those who are in need,” said Gerry Mendoza, SCAN member.
Brother Jimuel Gatchalian, district Christian Family Organizations (CFO) overseer, shared, “Such activity aims to add knowledge of progress while performing their duties.” He continued, “Following the step-by-step procedures the brethren learned on the workshop will make them more productive and helpful in ensuring safety for the benefit of the brethren.” ― With reports from INC News Section
