On July 25, 2022, members of the Binhi organization from the Local Congregation of Buug, in Zamboanga Sibugay, in the Philippines, participated in the Friendship Day that the local leadership organized for them. The activity was held at the Buug Municipal Podium, a short distance from their congregation’s house of worship.

During the activity, Binhi officers of the local congregation were first introduced to the attendees, including those who were baptized in recent months. Afterwards, attendees participated in several fun games that the organization’s officers facilitated for them. In between games, select brethren presented intermission numbers, including dance and spoken poetry numbers.

More than the fun, Binhi members were thankful for the chance to get acquainted and start meaningful friendship with each other, further strengthening the bond of Christian brotherhood.

“This activity serves as an inspiration for us in fulfilling our Church duties to give glory to our Lord God,” Quiea Althea Lampayan, local Binhi president, said. “Participation in Church activities like this will keep the young members away from temptations in this world and also strengthen the camaraderie and love of the brotherhood among us,” she added.

The Buug Congregation of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ), although geographically located in the province of Zamboanga Sibugay, is being administered through the Ecclesiastical District of Zamboanga del Sur. — With reports from INC News Section
