“We recognize the heroic efforts of our brave frontliners,” said Justine Indoyon, KADIWA president of the Ecclesiastical District of Bislig City, Surigao del Sur in the Philippines.
Putting their concern into action as the Covid-19 pandemic crisis has taken its toll on the lives of these heroes, he and the KADIWA members from the district made an effort to bring hope and joy to the health workers at the Bislig District Hospital.
This they did on November 28 through the Frontliners’ Appreciation Day 2020. The young brethren first inspired them with select original Iglesia Ni Cristo songs that express hope in God’s love and care during distressing times. Then they gave the doctors, nurses, and other hospital personnel free meal packages.
Of course, health and safety protocols were well-followed during the event managed by the district Christian Family Organizations (CFO) overseer, Brother Rodolfo Flores who said, “This provided so much joy to the frontliners. On the part of the KADIWA members, this activity made them more active in the faith.”
On behalf of the Bislig District Hospital, Dr. Elenila Jakosalem, said, “We are really grateful for this noble activity of yours. To your organization, the KADIWA, and to the Executive Minister, thank you very much for this.” — With reports from INC News Section
