“It has strengthened not only the love of but also the bond of brotherhood,” Brother Cromwell S. Correa said about the Unity Games held by the Local Congregation of Bonn, which he supervised as resident minister.

The congregation is one of 23 located in Germany under the Ecclesiastical District of Central Europe. Its members conducted their sports activity on September 24, 2022 at the Rheinaue Parkplatze, also called the ‘Green Heart of Bonn’, a popular leisure park along the banks of the Rhine.

Before the games began, the brethren first performed warm-up exercises together. With the help of the officers in the Christian Family Organizations (CFO), they were grouped into teams identified by their uniforms color, played tug-of-war and had races such as sack race relay, and other fun games that brought out their sense of cooperation.

“Team Green” won in several of the games including the tug-of-war, sack race, and guessing game. Each team members, namely, Jonas and Josie Edic, Chelsey and Leizel Gonzales, Timothy James Mandawela, Claudine Spaade, Jeremy and Ron Tropel, and Lorraine Velasco, received tokens from the CFO officers.

On behalf of the congregation, Brother Correa said, “We will remain united with the spirit of the Church Administration, in making sure that our faith is strong, especially in these trying times.” — With reports from INC News Section
