KADIWA members from the 75 local congregations under the supervision of the Ecclesiastical District of Zamboanga del Sur, in Mindanao, Philippines, enthusiastically joined the bookmark making activity held by their Christian Family Organization on January 13, 2023.
“We were able to express our creativity in this activity and, at the same time, our unity with the Church Administration,” Ellen Mae Cruspero, KADIWA member from the Local Congregation of Guipos, enthused.
For the activity, single members of the Church, 18 years old and above, took time to create personalized bookmarks, either as a group, in a common venue, or by themselves, from their respective homes.
The participants used various commonly available materials, including felt paper, lace, card stock, art paper, and glitter, for the said activity. Most of their finished crafts had the word KADIWA or the logo of the Christian Family Organizations (CFO).
“We are joyful because the Church Administration approved this activity. An activity like this helps us, young members in the Church, cultivate our artistic side and provides further encouragement to participate in the activities of our organization as we get to be with our fellow KADIWA members,” Heidi Yañez, district president, enthused. — With reports from INC News Section
