Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from the Local Congregation of Capital City and Gatineau Group Worship Service, Ecclesiastical District of Ottawa, Canada collaborated for a blood donation drive on May 14, 2022.

On that day, brethren who are eligible blood donors reported to the Canadian Blood Services branch located at 1575 Carling Avenue, in Ottawa, to donate blood out of their concern and love for their fellowmen.

“The pandemic is still not over. Our hospitals [are continuously] performing surgical procedures. Thus, there’s much need of blood [donation],” said Willy Somera, head deacon of Capital City Congregation. “I will always be part of doing good works, one of which is donating blood.”

“As donors, we form a vital link to Canada’s lifeline,” said Brother Ken Ryan Paluga, resident ministerial worker. On behalf of the congregation, he added, “We believe that blood donations are very important, most of all because these are in line with God’s teaching, which is to always be ready to help those who are in need. We will continue to be united in these efforts in doing our part for the community.” — With reports from INC News Section
