Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from the Ecclesiastical District of Malaysia participated in blood donation drives organized by their district on March 20 and 21, 2022.

“For many patients, blood donors are their lifelines,” highlighted Dr. Daniel Causapin, one of those who helped organize these events, when asked about the significance of donating blood. “One unit of blood can save three lives.”

Prior to the day of the blood donations, the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ), through the Christian Family Organizations (CFO), coordinated with the blood banks in places where it maintains congregations and booked the schedule for the activity.

Inspired by their desire to obey God’s commands to be of help to their fellowmen, brethren from various local congregations in the district participated in the activity wholeheartedly. They each underwent the necessary screening procedure and, after having been vetted, proceeded to donate blood.

“I really strove to qualify as a blood donor. Now that I’ve qualified to donate, I feel honored to be able to participate in the activity,” said Edrienne Honey Ching, KADIWA district officer.

“When people hear about ‘helping our fellowmen’ they often assume that it only entails helping financially. But by means of activities like these, we can also help our fellowmen in a different but also significant manner,” said Brother Juan Miguel Mejia, a ministerial worker, in an interview. — With reports from INC News Section
