Brethren from Tigbao unite for a community clean-up

Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from the Local Congregation of Tigbao, in the Ecclesiastical District of Zamboanga del Sur, Mindanao, Philippines, came together for a community clean-up activity on August 20, 2022. The said environmental activity also attracted the participation of those who are still in the process of joining the Church.
“This activity not only helps in maintaining cleanliness of the environment, but more importantly fosters activeness in Church endeavors among the brethren,” said Brother Johenes Maghuyop III, resident ministerial worker of Tigbao.
Early in the morning, prior to the clean-up drive, the participants, wearing shirts made just for the activity, rendezvoused at their house of worship to receive important reminders from their resident ministerial worker. Afterwards, bringing with them their own cleaning materials, including brooms and garbage bags, they proceeded to clean the streets in the community, starting in the vicinity of their place of worship, located at Purok 3, Brgy. Tigbao.
