Buklod, KADIWA, and Binhi members from the Local Congregation of Bangsar, in the Ecclesiastical District of Malaysia, learned how to avoid the “Burnout Syndrome” through a seminar sponsored by the Christian Family Organizations (CFO) local leadership on June 12, 2022.

A Buklod officer who is a registered nurse, Jayvee Villanueva, a shared his knowledge during the seminar conducted at the congregation’s house of worship. Other brethren connected from their homes via video conferencing.

In his presentation, Villanueva shared with the attendees that “lack of life balance, stress, and exhaustion from work are the main factors of burnout.” More importantly, he emphasized that although stress is unavoidable, burnout is preventable.

“Through proper exercise, eating a balanced diet, work-life balance, spending time with friends and loved ones, and having a good quality night’s sleep can prevent Burnout Syndrome,” he said.

To inspire the brethren, Brother Ferdinand Garcia, the resident minister, taught God’s words at the end of the seminar. He reminded them that as servants of the Lord God, they can always call on Him and expect His answer.

“We learned how to handle stresses for them not to burn us out. No matter how hard life may be, because of the many problems and hardships in this world, we must hold on to our faith and put our trust in God and hope for the blessings that will soon be ours,” said Robert Alico, an attendee. — With reports from INC News Section
