“It’s been so long since I went biking,” said Rosilyn Alvira, Church officer from the Local Congregation of Bula, Ecclesiastical District of General Santos City, South Cotabato in the Philippines. “I made sure I was fit and my bike was in good condition, too,” she added, upon knowing their congregation would be having a cycling activity on February 18, 2022.

Led by those in the Buklod organization, brethren from the said congregation participated in the fun-filled activity that also afforded them a chance to get together. From the house of worship of the local congregation situated along Ariola Street, Bula Rd., General Santos City, they took the backroads as they made a circuit of the village. As the route took them past wide open fields as well as coconut groves, the brethren had the chance to enjoy the scenery as well as the soothing atmosphere.

“The sense of togetherness was truly felt. We were also blessed with a fine weather. What a way to all the more inspire us,” enthused Airone Alvira, also a Church officer like his wife Rosilyn.

Rey Gargaritano, Buklod congregation president, voiced out what every biker felt that day: “We were excited, delighted, and found the activity challenging.”  — With reports from INC News Section
