The Christian Medical Dental and Paramedical Society (CMDPS) in the Ecclesiastical District of Malaysia conducted an online medical seminar on January 31, 2021.

Maria Luisa Serrano, a registered nurse, facilitated the seminar, which was open to all the brethren from the district. She discussed how to deal with common injuries at home and what first aid best fits in times of emergencies.

“It is very important for our brethren to know more about the basic first aid because accidents are always happening unexpectedly and unintentionally,” Maria Luisa explained. “In this time of the pandemic, it is a common notion for people to be frightened to go to the hospital due to the Covid-19 infections. The best option is to know about giving first aid for common injuries at home.”

In between lectures, the attendees were given the time to have a free medical consultation from a health care expert.

Marilou Ebro, an obstetrician and gynecologist, and CMDPS officer, gave advices in answer to the brethren’s queries.

“It gives me an overwhelming sense of fulfillment and gratification because we able to share our God-given knowledge and skills to contribute in our own little way to our Church community,” she said regarding the timely seminar.

In the inspirational and spiritual part of the activity, Brother Ronaldo Lising, district supervising minister, taught God’s words and reminded the brethren to keep themselves healthy and not to forget to seek God’s help through prayers.

Some interviewed brethren said that they are thankful to the Church Administration for approving such activity, promising to be steadfast in the faith and active in serving the Lord God. ― With reports from INC News Section
