Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from various congregations of the Ecclesiastical District of Rizal eagerly participated in a blood donation activity held on January 7, 2022 at the Local Congregation of Antipolo.

Among the first-time blood donors, Vergel Perico, resident of Antipolo City, admitted he felt “nervous” at first. But what allayed his fears was the thought that donating blood is “a way of helping others” and that “helping our fellowmen is a command of God.” He added that he is now excited and looking forward for his next blood donation.

The said activity of the Ecclesiastical District of Rizal was made possible in coordination with the Social Services Office (SSO) of the Church Administration. From the pre-donation interview and screening, to the actual extraction of blood, volunteer health professionals made sure that health and safety protocols were strictly observed.

The district supervises 37 local congregations, several extensions, and Group Worship Service (GWS) in the northern part of Rizal province, Philippines. — With reports from INC News Section
