The Ecclesiastical District of South Korea held a humanitarian activity, among others, to commemorate its seventh anniversary.

The districtwide blood donation drive, held in five different venues on October 31, 2021, also served to mark the birthday on that very date of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo.

“The brethren eagerly united with it. Though others had to travel far, they did so just to reach the select venues,” the district supervising minister, Brother Jerick Dela Cruz, said.

Conducted in collaboration with the Korean Red Cross, the humanitarian activity took place at designated blood donation venues in Seoul, Jeollanam-do, Gwangju, Daegu, and Busan, in most of which there are Iglesia Ni Cristo local congregations.

First-time blood donor Jalyn Velasquez, secretary from the Local Congregation of Uljeongbu, said, “I am grateful for this experience, being given the opportunity to take part in a successful activity while being one with our Executive Minister in his aim of helping our fellowmen. I firmly believe that uniting with activities like this does brings joy to our Almighty God.”

“It felt good to be of help to our fellowmen,” said Sharlene Castillo, choir member from the Local Congregation of Busan. — With reports from INC News Section
