Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from the 36 local congregations in the Ecclesiastical District of Sta. Cruz, Laguna united to willingly give the “gift of life” by participating in a blood donation drive on October 9, 2022 at the events place of Metro Central Mall in Sta. Cruz, Laguna.

“We thank God because many brethren went here and actively took part in this endeavor. This is important as donating blood is not only beneficial to the part of the donors, but also to those people who really need it, especially those who are sick,” Brother Michael Manalili, district Christian Family Organization (CFO) overseer, mentioned.

After completing the prerequisites and necessary screening procedures in donating blood, the volunteer-brethren, led by the ministers and ministerial workers, took their turn in sharing the “gift of life.”

Nelson Bautista, head deacon of the Sta. Cruz Congregation, and a regular blood donor, said, “As long as I have my life and strength, I will continue to help other people by participating in various activities launched by the Executive Minister, such as this blood donation, which is in obedience with God’s command of loving our fellowmen.”

Brother Melvin Cayabyab, district supervising minister, explained, on behalf of the brethren, why they were eager to donate blood, “It’s our desire to extend our help to others because this is what God has commanded us. That’s why, through the Church Administration, we prove our love and concern to our countrymen by participating in such activities.” — With reports from INC News Section
