The united efforts of brethren from the Ecclesiastical District of Calgary, Canada, in spreading their faith have resulted in yet another success. On April 29, 2023, new members from various local congregations in the district received baptism at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Downtown, Alberta. The holy occasion was led by Brother Voltaire Tamisin, district supervising minister.

During the baptismal service, Brother Tamisin delivered an inspiring sermon based on God’s words written in the Holy Scriptures. He emphasized the significance of one’s duty to serve the Almighty God, and how it will ultimately lead to his salvation on the Day of Judgment.

“Having many jobs give me seemingly no time to serve God,” reminisced Ervis Morales, a newly baptized member. “But the day came when I realized that life shouldn’t be just this, working and working. What about my relationship with God? So I decided I must allot time to serve Him,” he added.

“Baptism in the true Church is a must, because such is the fulfillment of the commandment of our Lord Jesus Christ that whoever wants to be saved must enter by Him, and that is through receiving baptism in the true Church Of Christ,” said Brother Jims Zamora, minister of the gospel. — With reports from Jen Corong of INC News Section
