In their best formal wear, married members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) from the Ecclesiastical District of New Jersey gathered on November 25, 2022, at the Pines Manor, an events venue located along Lincoln Highway, Edison, New Jersey, for the Buklod Night.

“It’s been a few years since we had an activity like this,” said Engelbert Rosario, Buklod district president from the Local Congregation of Bergen. “Sometimes we get complacent as husband and wife, but events like this inspired us to dress nicely, and thus, look very presentable for each other. And the decoration, the energy all over the venue, and the company of the brethren throughout made it really fun.”

In his opening remarks Brother Solomon Joves, assistant district supervising minister, reminded the Buklod members of the vital role of parents in leading their family in being steadfast members of the Church Of Christ.

Afterwards, a live band serenaded the attendees with select numbers of INC original music aimed to further fortify the marital bond of the Buklod members.

“The songs brought back memories for most of the couples,” shared Marjerie Alagar, choir leader of the Local Congregation of Central New Jersey. “We can call it a reunion as we have seen brethren from different local congregations.” Her husband, Gil, added, “It’s nice to interact with them as well, which is edifying to our faith.”

Besides taking pictures of themselves in the photo booth prepared by the Buklod district officers, the attendees participated in several fun-filled games. Winners received prizes and giveaways afterwards.
