Tending to immediate needs of brethren and their fellowmen in Barangay Matictic, Norzagaray, Bulacan who were hardly hit by the pandemic and recent typhoons, Iglesia Ni Cristo members from the Ecclesiastical District of Bulacan East in the Philippines held a Lingap sa Mamamayan (Aid to Humanity) there on November 24, 2020.
The district supervising minister, Brother Marlon Pineda, spearheaded the giving of goodwill bags. Fellow ministers, ministerial workers, and Church officers assisted him. Health and safety protocols were observed.
The goodwill bags contained food and clothes. One of the beneficiaries, Renz Carla Gonzales from the Local Congregation of Matictic, said, “I am so thankful for this aid from the Church, led by the Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo. This is truly a great help to us.”
Brother Marlon Pineda enthused, “With God’s help, we are able to conduct an Aid to Humanity here, where over 300 families benefited. Our fellowmen and brethren were grateful for the love and concern given them.”
On behalf of the district, he added, “Our district shall remain united with our Executive Minister in upholding all Church endeavors, such as helping our fellowmen in need.” — With reports from INC News Section
