On March 20, 2022, members of the Binhi organization in various local congregations from the Ecclesiastical District of Bulacan North participated in an online activity dubbed “Binhi Starters: Small Business on Graphic Design”
Binhi congregation presidents Shaira Roque from the Local Congregation of Cuayan Bugtong and Ashley Mae Manuel Blanca from the Local Congregation of Pulong Bayabas led the webinar.
With hands-on experience in creating designs, Ashley Mae shared to her fellow Binhi members the basics of graphic design, providing as example observable elements found in various websites, products, posters, social media images, and business cards. She also introduced to them easy-to-learn forms of graphic design. For her part, Shaira, who operates a small reselling business dealing with clothes and cosmetics, gave graphic design tips for small businesses.
Among the things Binhi members learned in the activity were the importance of knowing the target audience, using online tools, hiring a graphic designer to create projects, creating templates for social media posts, keeping the design fresh and trendy, among others.
Through the activity, the attendees learned that even at a young age, they can start a small business through which they will not only get to save up but also hone their creative skills. — With reports from INC News Section
