On September 19, 2021, the leadership of the KADIWA organization in the Ecclesiastical District of Bulacan North sponsored an online seminar on cyber safety for its members.

Brother Michael Nera, the district Christian Family Organizations (CFO) overseer, supervised the activity which aimed to impart essential information and advice on how the young brethren could take care of themselves and others as they use more and more the internet for their various information, education, and communication needs and more significantly in participating in Church activities.

Rino Trinidad, a KADIWA officer, who is an Information Technology professional, served as the resource speaker. He said, “There is no doubt that the internet is useful and provides a lot of benefits, especially in this time of the pandemic. However, when it is misused, there are dire consequences.”

He enlightened the attendees about the hidden dangers posed by computer viruses that either damage a computer hardware or corrupts its software such that they might avoid such.

The KADIWA members also learned about safety measures that need to be observed, among which are setting a limit on what information to share online, being cautious in dealing with strangers online, and resetting of passwords from time to time.

Bulacan North consists of 30 local congregations and seven extensions spread in the towns of Bulualto, Dona Remedios Trinidad (DRT), San Miguel, and San Ildefonso. ― With reports from INC News Section
