To enhance the skills of Society of Communicators and Networkers International (SCAN) members, the SCAN leadership of the Ecclesiastical District of Bulacan North spearheaded an online seminar on June 26, 2021.

Some of the SCAN members, including the facilitators, gathered at the Bulacan branch of Embrace Café, located along Maharlika Highway, Old Sta. Rita, San Miguel, Bulacan, which served as the main site while other SCAN members in the district connected from their homes via video conferencing.

Two relevant topics were discussed during the activity: Amateur Radio Etiquette and Operating Procedures while on commercial band.

“Since I am a licensed radio amateur user, I am happy to be refreshed once again in the use of two-way radio and learned its dos and don’ts. Using two-way radio is very important to the SCAN organization especially in the District of Bulacan North because the local congregations here are far from each other and some are located on mountains,” said Rodney Nicdao, SCAN member.

“The Church Administration launched this seminar to refresh and broaden the knowledge of Church officers especially SCAN members about radio etiquette,” said Japheth Seguiran, minister of the gospel.

The brethren are thankful because they learned a lot of things in the field of communications that can help them perform their Church duties. ― With reports from INC News Section
