A week before Cagayan de Oro City was put under community quarantine on March 20, 2020, officers of the Christian Family Organizations (CFO) in the Ecclesiastical District of Cagayan de Oro City, Misamis Oriental in the Philippines organized a health awareness seminar for the brethren.

Following prescribed social or physical distancing, the activity was conducted at the house of worship of the Cagayan de Oro City Congregation.

Lysa Avony Santiano, a city nurse, led the seminar. A video presentation regarding proper personal hygiene was then shown to the attendees. She encouraged the brethren to share what they learned to their household and loved ones.

District CFO overseer, Brother Ramon de Leon Jr., who organized the activity, reminded the brethren that “Prevention is better than cure.” ― With reports from INC News Section
