Since the pandemic began, more than a hundred houses of worship have been constructed for congregations of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) around the world. One of the congregations in the Philippines recently blessed with a house of worship is the Calagasan Extension, in the Ecclesiastical District of Carcar City, Cebu, Philippines. The brethren there attended the inaugural worship service in their brand new house of worship on July 3, 2021.

Brother Sergio Vista, district supervising minister, officiated the sacred gathering. He exhorted the brethren to do their part so that they will be counted among those who will surely receive salvation on Judgment Day.

“To our beloved Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, we are thanking you for this new chapel for our brethren in this extension, they are overjoyed … Even if this is a far-flung mountainous place, we are not forgotten by the Executive Minister,” Brother Vista said.

During the said gathering, new officers tasked to care for the growing number of brethren in Calagasan were also sworn in. All throughout the gathering, the brethren followed health and safety protocols.

“The brethren promise that they will continue their active services to our Lord God. They will continue to unite with the activities launched in the Church,” Brother Vista added.

Calagasan is an extension of the Local Congregation of Argao. The new chapel is located in Barangay Calagasan, Argao, Cebu. — With reports from INC News Section
