The Songs of Faith, Love, and Hope (SOFLAH) singing competition in the Ecclesiastical District of Calgary culminated on a high note, literally and figuratively, on August 28, 2022 at King’s Court Church Airdrie, an events place in Alberta, Canada.

Finalists from various local congregations competed in four categories, namely, Children’s Worship Service (CWS), Binhi, KADIWA, and Buklod.

The representatives of Falconridge, Alberta Congregation in the CWS and KADIWA categories, Lean Galut and Orimar Maglonzo, respectively, landed first prize.

Samantha Pile, from Heritage Park, Alberta Congregation, grabbed the top spot in the Binhi category; while in the Buklod Category, Leo and Mary Grace Lopez, from Riverbend, Alberta Congregation, went home with the first place.

“For this competition, I sang ‘Pag-ibig sa Iglesia,’” Orimar, the KADIWA winner, said. “It’s about our love for the Church and how the Church Administration takes care of us, members of the Church Of Christ, especially in our spiritual welfare. We are thankful for the Administration’s concern for us as they bring us closer to God.”

“This activity inspires me,” Samantha, Binhi category winner, enthused. “The various works in the Church encourages the brethren to be more active in fulfilling their duties to God.”  — With reports from INC News Section
