Health volunteers from the Ecclesiastical District of Calgary held a free online seminar on March 7, 2021 in commemoration of the second anniversary of the Christian Medical Dental and Paramedical Society (CMDPS), the Christian Family Organization which they are part of.
Buklod members from their respective homes participated in the activity through videoconferencing.
Brother Rolando Gaviola, district supervising minister, gave them biblical advice for the opening remarks. He reminded them that the Church Administration established CMDPS to consolidate the efforts of the doctors, dentists, nurses, and other medical practitioners in the Church in extending voluntary assistance to those who are in need.
The district’s CMDPS officers who are trained medical practitioners shared basic-level and practical knowledge that may be useful during emergencies. They also taught about the proper way to respond to such circumstances as health emergencies and mental health crises.
Interviewed brethren said that the activity helped them so much especially in this time of pandemic. They gained much knowledge regarding basic first-aid for their safety and for their family as well. ― With reports from INC News Section
