Due to their perseverance and with God’s abiding help, the brethren from the Ecclesiastical District of Calgary reaped the fruit of their propagational work as many of the prospective members whom they had invited to Bible studies and guided in joining the Iglesia Ni Cristo have finally reached the day of their baptism.
On July 5, 2021, candidates for baptism gathered at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Capitol Hill, Alberta. They were taught of God’s words written in the Bible about the importance of receiving the true baptism in the Church Of Christ, which guarantees eternal life in the Holy City.
The district supervising minister, Brother Rolando Gaviola, officiated the holy gathering.
One of the new converts who received the gift of salvation is Anthony Nguyen, a physical therapist from Country Hills, Calgary, Alberta. “Before attending Bible studies, I knew nothing about the Church Of Christ. But once I found out that the teachings are solely based from the Bible, it opened my mind and I started to learn more,” he said. Thankful to found the right path that leads to salvation, he encouraged others to “not be afraid to listen to the words of God taught in the Church because everything is Bible-based, which I believe it’s the way it should be.”
Allyson Tecson, who was instrumental in his conversion, shared, “We should not be discouraged and lose hope in inviting people to attend evangelical missions and other Church gatherings. There might be rejections along the way but let’s keep in mind that there are people out there who really need to find the truth and willing to become a member of the Church.” — With reports from INC News Section
