To help the brethren from the Ecclesiastical District of Capas, Tarlac find additional source of income, the Buklod district leadership hosted a seminar on putting up a food business. It was held at the district office’s compound in the Local Congregation of Capas on October 9, 2021.
Buklod leadership invited Ms. Sienna Dizon, the production manager of Angel Farmers Gourmet Food Corporation. “We thought about presenting how to make shawarma—one of the popular foods today. We came up with this idea because many people think that it is a difficult business to get into, thinking that it requires big equipments. So, we decided to present how to start a shawarma business using ordinary kitchen tools,” she said in an interview.
“Not only Buklod members but also KADIWA and Binhi as well, can learn from this shawarma-making seminar. It opens an opportunity for the brethren to have their own business at their homes.” said Olivia Lopez, Buklod district officer.
“We wholeheartedly thank the Church Administration for allowing such activity that shows their love and care not only for the spiritual welfare but also for the brethren’s livelihood as well,” said Brother Richmond Leo Mortela, one of the ministerial workers who supervised the activity. ― With reports from INC News Section
