“The Church Of Christ, through its Administration, continues to launch this kind of activity because by donating blood, lives will be saved,” said Sharyn Reyes, a member of the Christian Medical Dental and Paramedical Society (CMDPS).
On July 8, 2022, inspired by their love for their fellowmen, Sharyn and her fellow CMDPS members in the Ecclesiastical District of Capas, Tarlac in the Philippines, joined hands in spearheading the blood donation activity of their district. Brethren from various local congregations in the district participated in this humanitarian activity which was held at the function hall of the Local Congregation of Navy.
Volunteer-brethren between 16 and 65 years old underwent the required screening procedures before they were allowed to donate.
“I’m so joyful to participate in this blood donation drive because many people would benefit from this activity, especially those who are ill. I’m looking forward to participate in more activities where I can be of help to others that truly pleases our Lord God,” Patrick Perucho, choir member from the Navy Congregation and a first-time donor, expressed.
Brother Allan Francisco, resident minister of the said congregation, thanked God for “always guiding the Church Administration in conducting socio-civic activities even though the world still experiences pandemic.” He further promised, “We are more than happy to participate in whatever activities that they will launch in the future.” — With reports from INC News Section
