To upgrade their capability in performing their duties, the Children’s Worship Service (CWS) teachers from the Ecclesiastical District of Capas, Tarlac, Philippines underwent a refresher seminar held at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Capas on July 9, 2021.

Brother Mauro Balintag, district supervising minister, led the seminar. He reminded the CWS teachers of the tasks that they must fulfill in shepherding the children in the Church. He discussed approaches in caring for the CWS members and thus further increase their zeal in serving God, amid home quarantines due to the pandemic.

Regarding the importance of the seminar, Olivier Dimatulac, district CWS chairperson, said, “This will all the more intensify the performance of our duties as CWS teachers to care for the youth in the Church.”

“We learned various activities that can be implemented in the Children’s Worship Service for the members to be more active in serving our Lord God and for their faith to grow inside the Church Of Christ,” Jomar Lumba, CWS teacher, said.

The CWS teachers were strengthened in the faith and inspired to take the approaches for the members spiritual welfare during these difficult times.

Brother Clarence Belen, a resident minister, appreciated the value of the seminar for the CWS teachers to improve their effectiveness in caring for the children in their congregation. “We thank our Lord God and the Church Administration for giving the opportunity to conduct seminars such as this for the benefit of those in the Children’s Worship Service.”

Expressing the collective promise of the CWS teachers to the Lord God and the Church Administration, Micaella Rivera said, “We promise to [them] that we will always unite in the activities launched in the Church.

Tarlac province was under Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) during the time of the seminar. — With reports from INC News Section
